The Songs of the Angels

The first song of the angels
Upon creation's birth
Was worshipping the Father
Creator of all the earth
He made us in His image
We quickly turned from Him
But God in love was planning
To save us all from sin

The second song the prophets
For long years did foretell
Now lying in a manger
Is Christ, our Emmanuel
He's heralding God's presence
His sovereign plan unfurled
This Baby in a stable
Is bigger than all the world

The third song of the angels
The loudest e'er they'll sing
For coming back in glory
Is Christ, the conquering King
All wrongs will then be righted
What's taken be restored
And we will be united
Forever with the Lord!
